IPSUM UK Ltd. has been awarded the Kitchen Project award at the 2023 national Master Builder Awards for their elegant and ultramodern kitchen extension to White Lodge, a historic tollhouse. The extension features a glazed atrium, floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, and a large kitchen island. IPSUM also improved the home's energy efficiency with the installation of air-source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar panels, and new insulation.
A Nottingham building firm has earned a major industry award for the UK’s best new kitchen, as part of an elegant, ultramodern extension to a historic tollhouse. IPSUM UK Ltd. picked up the accolade at the Federation of Master Builders 2023 national Master Builder Awards, hosted by TV presenter Nick Knowles.
The glazed atrium and floor-to-ceiling doors and windows flood the space with light and offer a stunning view of the garden and dense woodland beyond. A large kitchen island serves a practical and social function as a gathering spot for the family, while a sleek, cantilevered oak, steel and glass staircase leads up to the first floor.
