Norwich City lost £23.6million ($26.7m) during their 2021-22 Premier League campaign. More from michaeljbailey NCFC
The club posted their annual accounts on Monday, covering a curtailed 11-month period after previous adjustments due to the COVID pandemic.
They included a record turnover of £130m following their latest promotion from the EFL Championship, with a wages to turnover ratio of 88 per cent. That was down from the 116 per cent recorded in the second tier as Norwich won promotion. Norwich put their loss down to spending on new signings as they attempted to build a squad to survive in the top flight. Emi Buendia’s £33m sale to Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 was included in the previous set of accounts, in which Norwich had posted a £26.6m loss excluding player trading.
