A country house garden in West Northamptonshire has been named among the UK's top 10 to visit this spring. This weekend also marks the last chance to see its special snowdrops display until it reopens in March.
The garden, which leads to a "magical" five-acre bluebell wood, featured on Channel 5's Great British Gardens: Season by Season back in 2021. It has also been named The Nation’s Favourite Garden by The English Garden magazine and NGS. The garden slopes down a hillside from the 17th Century manor house made from Northamptonshire stone. Its highlights include its "Hollybush border" and its hidden bluebell wood and wildflower meadow.
South Western Railways analysed online reviews and ratings via the frequency of specific keywords in reviews, such as ‘wildflower’ and ‘spring’ in order to name the top 10 best-rated gardens to visit now spring is on its way. It said "there’s no finer way to see blooming spring floral displays than visiting Coton Manor Garden in Northamptonshire"
