'Never go onto frozen lakes, ponds, canals or reservoirs'

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning over walking on icy water a day after three boys die from falling into a frozen lake. The three children, aged eight, 10 and 11, were pulled from the water in Babbs Mill Park, Solihull on Sunday .

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted yesterday warning about the dangers of going on frozen bodies of water in response. Colleagues arriving at a vigil for the tragic children in Solihull last night were applauded for their bravery by hundreds of locals.
