UK's first carpet recycling centre opens in Northampton

Innovate Recycle's factory in Northampton aims to repurpose up to 20,000 tonnes of waste carpet a year.Joseph Eccleston said his vision was to "get carpet into carpet again" and divert waste away from landfill.Most carpets in the UK are made from a mixture of raw materials which cannot all be easily recycled
Currently, carpet waste that is not recycled is either sent to landfill or burnt in waste incinerators.
