Former victims’ commissioner Dame Vera Baird has also said the way personal information was released about Nicola was “sexist” and a “dreadful error”
The leader of Wyre Borough Council has said police searching for missing Lancashire mum Nicola Bulley have "lessons to be learned".
The council leader replied: "I think that there are lessons to be learned, but I think they’ve done their best in very difficult circumstances." Coun Vincent said: "Perhaps, and that's something perhaps that has fuelled some of the online speculation and some of the interest in the story. But, again, I think the police have done what they could in difficult circumstances."
“I’m sure they would have explained themselves if they had an explanation … if it was relevant it needed to be in a public domain at the start and it wasn’t. I mean, that is a really worrying error. It is frankly dreadful.”
