Summer is almost over. Yes I said it and even as I do, I am most definitely in denial. This summer, more than its predecessors, feels like it disappeared so quickly.
Don’t get me wrong, it is hard work for me, but I remind myself that tipping sand out of shoes and washing it out of ears it a true testament that some more incredible summer memories have been made.But the fact remains, school is just around the corner and that can feel overwhelming for mums. As much as I reject the narrative that motherhood is one of depletion, and believe me I do, it can be easy to disappear down that rabbit hole if we are not careful.
Before your head hits the pillow write out the tasks for the following day, leaving nothing to chance. Doing this will clear your mind for tomorrow. It is so much better to have your day mapped out to maximise productivity. For mums time is our most precious commodity. Be intentional with yours and never waste it.
