'Our aim is to provide a safe space for bereaved parents to remember, heal, and find comfort during this challenging time.'

As Baby Loss Awareness Week approaches, a NI charity is set to hold candle-making sessions for bereaved parents.

"Founded in 2020 by Louise Taylor, the Little Forget Me Nots Trust understands the profound impact of losing a pregnancy or infant. Having experienced her own loss, Louise turned to alternative ways to cope with grief and found healing in creative expression. Inspired by her journey, she established the Trust to provide compassionate support to others facing similar challenges."

The candle-making sessions will culminate in the 'Wave of Light' ceremony on October 15th, which is also International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. At 7pm on this day, families around the world will light their candles "in unison, creating a powerful symbol of remembrance and unity". A statement said: "This initiative aims to provide bereaved parents with a professional outlet to process their grief, facilitating healing and understanding throughout their journey of loss."

With limited spaces available for both the candle-making sessions, early registration and application on the Little Forget Me Nots Trust's website is highly encouraged. "Louise Taylor and her team invite bereaved parents from across the region to join them in these heartwarming candle-making sessions and to seize the opportunity for fully funded Art Therapy.
