Baby Arthur, a survivor thanks to the NHS, which celebrates its 75th anniversary 🏥

A local mum whose son is alive today because of Lincoln’s neonatal intensive care unit team is among many thanking the NHS on its 75th birthday.

Born early due to reduced movement and failing traces, he was diagnosed with Kleefstra Syndrome. The rare genetic condition affects development and various body systems.Arthur encountered breathing difficulties and was put on a ventilator before being transferred to a level three hospital in Leicester. With his condition improving, he was brought back to Lincoln on Continuous Positive Airway Pressure .

“He had the best team who magically made him better and got him off the ventilator and onto only needing oxygen,” Samantha said.
