The Victorian premier, Daniel Andrews, announced a statewide lockdown from Saturday 21 August which extended the rules that applied to Melbourne – except for the evening curfews – across the entire state.that some restrictions would ease when the state hits a 70% first dose vaccination rate – expected about 23 September. The curfew applies to Melbourne from 9pm to 5am every day.In Victoria, you cannot leave your home unless it is for one of five approved reasons – similar to previous lockdowns.
