A new service station has been planned at an 'ideally positioned' Nottinghamshire spot. The new service station would be built on 6.2 acres of farmland located at the A46/A606 Melton Road roundabout, Hickling, if plans are approved by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
Parking will be provided for cars, vans, light goods vehicles , motorbikes, cyclists and coaches incorporating dedicated EV charging point spaces. A HGV zone is also planned offering refuelling facilities, 24 hour parking, and space for an abnormal load vehicle. There would be 57 car spaces, four disabled spaces and 10 motorcycle spaces. A total of 20 electric vehicle charging bays and associated charging upstands would also be created.
