An online application portal is expected to open this month for people without a direct relationship with their electricity supplier
The UK Government has confirmed that it is working to finalise the details of the £400 Energy Bill Support Scheme Alternative Funding for people without a direct relationship with their electricity supplier.
Last month, the UK Government said it will be publishing details on eligibility and opening a portal on GOV.UK, offering a "short online application process" for eligible households to apply for the £400 support. Climate Minister Graham Stuart MP said that “eligibility, timescales and method of delivery” will be announced “shortly”. Mr Stuart gave the update in a written response shortly before Christmas.
