The rate of increase for the New and Basic State Pension could be dictated by several factors including inflation
The cost of living crisis continues to hit hard and with the winter approaching the situation is unlikely to get any easier quickly, especially with food prices continuing to increase. That means for many, any increase in basic income can be the difference between eating well, or struggling to cope, in the coming months.

This would push up the full New State Pension to more than £11,300 per year - if we were to see an increase in the region of 8.2 per cent, it would go up to around £11,470.
