The startling set of photographs show what life was once like in the Manchester suburb

A set of striking photographs depicting a post-war Hulme are set to be archived for future generations.

"Clopton Street was one of the worst bombing sites in Manchester, where dozens of Hulme civilians were killed towards the end of the war," Shirley said.
