My Mum, Your Dad star Janey Smith opened up on her “tragic” dating history prior to taking part in the hit ITV show and finding love with Roger Hawes.
The hit ITV show, which was fronted by Davina McCall, aimed to connect single parents together in the hope of finding love - all while under the watchful eye of their grown-up children. Janey, who was one of the success stories from the show, said she had “matured” since she was younger and the kind of person she used to go for, “is not right” for her now.
“I remember my first ever online date - about 18 years ago from the website My Single Friend. We’d obviously never met but he knew I loved ABBA, so had booked to see Mamma Mia! the Musical in the West End and dinner for a first date. Sadly no chemistry but blimey 10/10 for effort!!”. It looks like she finally found her perfect match as viewers watched her build a relationship with fellow singleton Roger Hawes.
