Joseph Peers is accused of being the 'driver' for James Witham, who shot and killed Ashley with a Skorpion sub-machine gun.
One of the men accused of the murder of Ashely Dale has told the court where he got the money to finance a month-long holiday shortly before her death. Six men are currently on trial at Liverpool Crown Court in connection with the death of the Knowsley Council worker.
The court previously heard how he had travelled to Barcelona in early July 2022, where he met up with Zeisz. The two later went to Valencia by taxi before flying to Portugal and eventually returning to the UK in early August, following the death of their friend Rikki Warnick. Mr Greaney told the court that Companies House records showed that Brilliance UK had been incorporated in 208, with Peers as sole director and shareholder. Its accounts, however, showed "no evidence that the company ever traded" - and it had been struck off in September 2021, "11 months before these events".
Top UK & World stories today Mr Greaney said: "Did you know, at any stage while you were in North Wales, that those you travelled with were using that trip for drug dealing activity?" Peers responded: "I did not know. No."
