Michael Hillier and Rachel Fulstow deny the murder of Liam Smith
A man accused of murder has told jurors he is ‘ashamed’ of his actions after a barbaric attack upon Wigan dad, Liam Smith.
He previously told jurors that he had an unsent email on his phone, listing the number of sexual encounters he had. He said: “The defence case statement was full of fictitious, convoluted and malicious lies. There was not a shred of truth in it. Over the six month period I was on remand, Rachel threw me under the bus to save herself.
“The first I became aware of him was when Rachel disclosed the details of the rape to me,” Hillier answered.
