Lucy Broome collapsed in pain while at a holiday resort and was rushed to hospital where no critical beds were available
A 'kind' young mum-of-three tragically died while on holiday after experiencing unexplained pain for weeks.

She was then referred to undertake further tests - she received the results of these tests but didn't see a consultant for another two weeks.
She was rushed to hospital by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service and was described to be mumbling, agitated, and struggling to breathe. While glucose treatment temporarily improved her condition, it wasn't long before it became worse again. Eventually, Lucy was given the maximum dose allowed for glucose but this didn't improve her condition. By the next morning, she was pronounced dead with a post-mortem giving the cause of death as acute pancreatitis.
