A mum has shared her concern over her son's safety in a prison once dubbed 'England's most violent'. The worried parent claims conditions at HM Prison Werrington are 'unsafe'.
The prison, which says violence is now at the lowest level in a year, is a 'sham' according to the mother who cannot be identified for legal purposes. "Something needs to be done as soon as possible. It is worrying for my son in there. It is simply not a safe place. It is a sham, there needs to be proper rules and regulations.
"It is not safe for children. We are pushing for bail and getting him out of there. We could get a call saying that he is dead. That is how concerned I am that he is in there."
