Many have taken to social media to ask for solutions that don't 'cost a fortune' as heating bills soar for millions round the country. One Facebook page in particular has become a go-to for cleaning and home hacks inspired by Instagram influencer and entrepreneur Sophie Hinchcliffe, better known as Mrs Hinch.In the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, someone desperately asked: "How can I stop condensation without it costing a fortune please" with a prayer hand emoji.

One said: "Just wipe the windows and invest in a good dehumidifier. Run the dehumidifier in the damp room daily with the door closed."
