Manchester United have been linked with Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before their deadline.
Jose Mourinho has already told Manchester United what Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg would bring to their squad.
Having watched a proposed £30million transfer to Atletico Madrid collapse, the Denmark international is available. Mourinho signed the 28-year-old from Southampton in 2020 while he was Tottenham manager. Since then, the 65-cap midfielder has totted-up 147 games for Spurs in all competitions - scoring 10 goals with 16 assists.
Speaking about Hojbjerg while they were working together, Mourinho said: "Pierre is first of all very intelligent. He reads the game very well and he's going to be a coach one day, for sure. Mourinho continued: "Physically he's very, very strong and technically he's much better than people think. Because sometimes people think the guy that is good technically is the guy that does the backheel - or the guy that is good technically is the guy that does something wonderful.
