Darien Baird was driving a Kawaski motorbike when he was involved in a crash with a Renault HGV
Darien Baird, 26, has been named locally as the man who was injured in a collision around 11.25am on Monday, on the B9113 at the Pitkennedy crossroads, near Forfar.Darien, from Brechin, was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee but sadly succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning. The 47-year-old male driver of the lorry did not require hospital treatment.
"The staff at NineWells ICU had done amazingly trying to support Darien, but also us as a family. I can't thank you enough. "I'm posting on here because many will have met and got to know him. My family really appreciate the kind messages received as we process the news...so thank you.Others also paid tribute to Darien online. Vicki Harrison wrote: "Too much loss in this world, heartbreaking to see you go too soon Darien Baird sending love to all family and friends."
