Modern Warfare 3 developer Sledgehammer Games and Activision have now given the people what they want as the latest reveal trailer showed exactly when the player base can expect the next series installment to drop. But with the past couple of entries having largely been underwhelming, it appears some within the community remain wary of preordering the upcoming game as the disappointing, bug-filled launch of MW2 continues to run fresh in peoples’ minds.
Some, however, are seemingly tired of this same argument being used during every new release cycle asnoted: “I hate this shit so much. It happens with every game ever. With CoD you know what you’re gonna get. And it’s never been a Cyberpunk level shitshow either.” One refreshingly optimistic user, on the other hand, pointed out that Modern Warfare 3 developer Sledgehammer Games is completely different from Infinity Ward as the former “actually listens to community feedback.
With this in mind, Sledgehammer Games’ track record indicates that the upcoming installment should be a much smoother and more enjoyable experience for those willing to get stuck in once it gets released. But with the launch date still far off, you’ll just have to remain patient for now in order to find out whether the next series entry will live up to the hype.
