Massachusetts State Police detectives, assisted by the Spencer Police Department, are investigating.
A woman was found dead floating near the shore of Lake Whittemore Saturday afternoon in Spencer, Massachusetts, police announced.
The 51-year-old woman was originally reported missing to police and later found by an on-duty lifeguard at Luther Hill Park's beach, Spencer police said.
