Sun lovers across the UK are in luck, as Britain looks set to bask in a five-day heatwave. It comes after a particularly wet and cool July and August, which has left many Brits disappointed.
With temperatures likely to be a few degrees above the September average, it could be the perfect opportunity to enjoy one last trip to the seaside before children go back to school. Weather maps seen by Express how that between Saturday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 6 - the country is set to enjoy a mini heatwave lasting five glorious days.
This is in part due to the peak hurricane season reducing predictability of weather patterns that could influence the UK’s weather. He said: "At this stage, signals suggest a typical mix of conditions in September, with more unsettled conditions more likely in the northwest, and drier conditions further south and east, though large local variations are possible.
