This week is set to feel more 'unsettled' and 'autumnal' according to forecasters with 'changeable conditions'
Thunder and heavy rain are set to sweep across Lancashire from today with the Met Office describing the coming week as "unsettled" and "autumnal".
In Blackpool, the heavy rain will arrive at 8am and last until 2pm when the sunshine breaks out. There will then be a mixture of sunshine and showers for most of the day before turning heavier from 8pm.In Blackburn, the wet conditions will last until 3pm when there will be a brief respite with some sunshine before the rain sweeps back in from 5pm. Burnley will not fare much better with heavy rain between 10am and 3pm and then a mix of sunshine, showers and heavy rain for the rest of the day.
From Tuesday to Thursday onwards Met Office has described the forecast as 'unsettled' with 'changeable conditions'. Throughout the week there will also be a chance of coastal gales. "Make sure you are taking care as the weather could change at very short lead times and just be prepared for those gusty winds and potentially large hailstorms."
