After a miserable summer we're all enjoying some glorious sunshine at the moment
Summer has certainly arrived with a bang in the last few days, albeit a bit later than normal. After weeks of temperatures being in the low 20s and the constant threat of rain, it's been a pleasure to dig out the sun cream again.
The Met Office has just updated its long-range forecast for the next few weeks which suggests an area of high pressure could mean warmer weather returning at the end of September. Before then, between September 11-20, colder conditions are expected.The forecast for the middle of this month reads: "Conditions across the UK are expected to become generally more changeable with temperatures likely to return to closer to normal.
"There are stronger indications that temperatures may generally be above average for the time of year, and there is also a higher likelihood of some unseasonably warm spells than would normally be expected."
