Nottingham looks set for another spell of long hot weather as the Met Office issued an 'extreme heat' weather warning for the coming days. The mercury is not expected to hit last month's 40C again, but this week there will be temperatures in the high 20s and up to 31C.
The Met Office has said the evenings will also be particularly warm as the hottest of the weather is expected to persist from Thursday, August 11, to Sunday, August 14. An amber weather warning is is place for extreme heat for all four of these days. The hottest day of the week so far is forecast to be Saturday, August 13, when the mercury will hit 31C. If you struggle with the heat, there is good news on the horizon, as heavy showers are predicted to hit Notts on Monday afternoon, August 15.
