A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Scotland, as Glasgow is set to see gale force winds of up to 65mph on Friday.
Forecasters are expecting gusts of up to 65mph in many areas across the nation, as windy weather could cause travel chaos tomorrow. The warning has been put in place from 6am on Friday morning , until 11am tomorrow. The Met Office has stated that the blustery weather will arrive in Scotland from a south-west direction. Winds are likely to reach 50-60mph along costal districts, with the stronger gusts of 65mph possible in more exposed regions.This weather may lead to some travel disruption, with delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport likely for the country tomorrow morning. There will also possibly be some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.
Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes like bridges are also likely during the weather warning. Temperatures will coast at around 15 degrees throughout tomorrow and most of the weekend.
