George Russell has admitted Mercedes got their ride height “very wrong” at the F1 United States Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton was disqualified.

But Russell does not foresee a repeat of Mercedes’ plank wear woes at this weekend’s Mexico City Grand Prix. “We did all of the standard checks after FP1 and the plank looked absolutely fine. So there was no reason after the practice session to make any changes, but obviously, we got that very wrong. Russell finished seventh in Austin but was promoted to fifth after Hamilton and Leclerc’s disqualifications.
