Members of suspected gang arrested as raids see £2 MILLION of prescription drugs and £100k in cash seized
Members of a suspected gang were arrested on Tuesday as part of raids that have already seen £2 million worth of prescription drugs and £100k in cash seized.
Police said they are believed to be members of a suspected gang, based in Cheetham Hill, and that they remain in custody for questioning.The arrests were made as part of an operation dubbed 'Vulcan',which has so far seen an estimated £2 million worth of prescription drugs and £100k cash seized.Searches of the properties on Tuesday resulted in thousands of pounds worth of cash being seized and large quantities of drugs including illicit prescription medication, police added.
“We suspect that the individuals arrested today have links to a major drugs operation in Cheetham Hill. The quantities of drugs we are talking about are beyond substantial and the removal will see a discernible difference on the streets of Greater Manchester.
