A Glasgow construction and manufacturing firm has welcomed fresh faces to their business as they look to give opportunities to young people

.One of the largest privately-owned businesses of their kind in the country, CCG announced in March that they would continue their intake of new recruits.Since 2013, the group have welcomed 155 apprentices consisting of both men and women.

CCG Managing Director, David Wylie said: “The CCG Board of Directors and I are delighted to again welcome our latest intake of trade apprentices. "Our industry’s skills shortage has not gone away with the after-effects of the pandemic proving that now, more than we ever, we need to attract more people into construction.

The programme would see new apprentices embark on their journey to become fully qualified bricklayers, joiners, floor-layers, plumbers, electricians and heating engineers.
