Growing the brand in a sustainable way has proved a challenge for Cropper. Originally, she had hoped to produce all her pieces locally in Sweden, but was unable to find a manufacturer who could meet the quality she wanted using the deadstock and recycled materials. Like other young designers, she’s found cash flow, too, to be a challenge – brands are typically required to stump up the production costs upfront, with wholesalers paying up once orders have been received.
