The humble chicken McNugget turns 40 this year, and to celebrate four decades of the golden crispy treats,will be able to get their hands on garlic mayo, mega hot sauce, chipotle mayo and creamy ranch dip.
You’ll have to wait until after Coronation weekend to try them, as garlic mayo and mega hot will drop on May 10th.’s favourite creamy ranch will join the ranks. The dips will be available for a mystery length of time, ‘until stocks last’. McDonald’s released the iconic McNugget back in 1979. It was an instant hit that the chain couldn’t keep up with demand. Chef René Arend, who perfected the McNugget, revealed that McDonald’s couldn’t actually supply that much chicken.It’s the McNugget’s 40th birthday this year
The chain also says that are beloved nuggs come in four shapes: the bell, the bow-tie, the ball and the boot.
