Sam Byram returned to Elland Road this summer seven years after leaving the club and former Leeds United striker Ross McCormack has hailed the full-back's impact this season
Sam Byram is a 'far better player' than he is given 'credit' for and has the 'trust' of Daniel Farke. That is the view of former Leeds United striker Ross McCormack, having praised the full-back who made his return to Elland Road this summer after a seven-year absence.
Byram and Farke has previously worked together at Carrow Road, and this existing relationship is one of the reasons why the Leeds boss was keen to bring the defender in according to McCormack. The pundit believes it is 'no coincidence' the winger playing in front of the summer signing always has a better game too.
He told BBC Radio Leeds via MOT Leeds News: “I’ve always thought that to be honest, even when he broke through here, I always thought that the winger in front of him seemed to have a decent game as well. He offers a lot more than what people give him credit for. When he got brought back to the club people were like, ‘Oh he’s not going to play, he didn’t play much for Norwich’.
