'Football is about NOT making mistakes!'
Both players were at fault for the only goal of the match – scored by Anthony Elanga on 48 minutes – with an irked Pochettino saying it cost his side the game.
The attacking move which resulted in the goal started when Caicedo received the ball in his own half but his poor, heavy touch saw him dispossessed. That allowed Taiwo Awoniyi to burst forward and play a pass through to Elanga – with the ball going in between Silva’s legs – before the Swedish star fired home.
‘We made one mistake and we cannot make it,’ Pochettino said. ‘That is why we feel really disappointed.Pochettino also highlighted that Chelsea were not clinical enough and bemoaned his side’s lack of goals.
