Marvel star Kumail Nanjiani has revealed what viewers can expect in his upcoming Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales with Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens.
's Dan Stevens, will see Nanjiani play Somen 'Steve' Banerjee, the founder of the erotic dance group Chippendales.Describing his character, Nanjiani added:"He's a guy who's not emotionally mature, and that can be a very dangerous thing. That can be a very violent thing, but there is also an innocence to it. If you look at some real-life characters who we would look back and consider evil, there is actually a childlike quality to them.
The series will follow the rise and fall of Banerjee, who went from being a gas station operator and failed backgammon club owner to the founder of the all-male stripping troupe. Alongside Nanjiani and Stevens , the cast also includes Nicola Peltz, Emmy winner Murray Bartlett , Annaleigh Ashford, Juliette Lewis, Quentin Plair and Robin de Jesús.
