Energy bills will rise in April 2023, which will see the average household pay £3,000 for gas and electricity.
With bitter-cold temperatures paired with skyrocketing energy bills, Scots may find themselves struggling to keep their homes warm.
Despite inflation easing slightly, it still sits at a near 40-year high, and having seen the situation coming an IT expert has created a website which points people to their nearest warm bank. The website states: "With the rise in the cost of living, we understand that this winter will be challenging. That’s why we’ve created a map where you can find warm spaces and community.""But I wanted to do something in response, aim some of that discontent with the situation at something productive."
