A man was attacked in the property
A manhunt for a masked intruder who "kicked in the door" at the home of a witness in Thomas Cashman's trial has stretched into its second month. No suspects have been arrested so far since enquiries began into the incident at the home of Nicholas McHale.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing. A spokesperson for the force has confirmed no arrests have been made in the month since the incident. The witness replied: "Because I believe and know Thomas Cashman is innocent." Mr McHale, who said he had once leased his home to Cashman for a short period and went to live elsewhere before returning, denied he had been paid to give evidence in court.
Forensic investigators could be seen going in and out of the property. On the roadside near the property there was bloodied clothing where the victim had collapsed, according to witnesses.
