The end of the transfer window is approaching and Manchester United still have plenty of work to do before the September 1 deadline
Manchester United are about to enter the final week of the transfer window and there are still plenty of deals to be done.
Gravenberch, 21, is a box-to-box midfielder but has the defensive capabilities to support Casemiro, who has been left exposed by the more advanced duo of Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes. Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat is another option for the club and signing either player would see United fulfil one of their top priorities.
Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayındır is one player who could arrive. The 25-year-old is entering his fifth season at the club, often captaining the side, and could be an option as Onana’s deputy. Maguire’s exit - albeit now unlikely - could see United their attention to Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, with the 24-year-old viewed as a possible target. United previously were linked with Benjamin Pavard, when it initially appeared that Maguire was on the move, but the France international is on the verge of joining Inter Milan.
