Man with '£10K worth of drugs' arrested after car stopped near Glasgow
Police stopped a car on Wednesday evening around 6pm near Auchenkilns, Cumbernauld.After the 40-year-old was apprehended, the force carried out a search of the car and allegedly discovered £10,000 worth of cannabis and unopened containers.The man is due to appear in court on Thursday.said:"Around 6.25pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, officers from Roads Policing stopped a vehicle on the A73, near Auchenkilns, Cumbernauld."Following a foot pursuit, he was apprehended.
"A search of the vehicle resulted in a quantity of cannabis, with a potential street value of £10,000 and unopened containers being recovered. "A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 27, 2023."
