Liam Cain was found guilty of murder after strangling girlfriend Courtney Boorne to death.
A murderer who strangled his girlfriend to death has been moved to a different prison after coming under threat from fellow inmates.
Cain had been threatened by another prisoner while being transported back to jail on Thursday last week, during his trial. Around 4.30pm, a neighbour rang 999 and told the call handler that she could see a woman in a property across the road "screaming and climbing onto the window ledge". "What they couldn't see, of course, was what was going on inside the flat. The only two people inside the flat were Courtney Boorne and this defendant."
