Luke was blown away by what he tasted Indian food is one of the most popular cuisines in the UK, so much so that chicken tikka masala is often hailed as our national dish. In the US, however, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese restaurants are far more commonplace, meaning many people have never tried the delights of a trip to their local curry house. That was the case for Luke, a Kentucky-based creator who goes by @lukefoods on TikTok.
He said: ‘This is absolutely delicious… It is truly divine, one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life.’ Gulab jamun – sweet fried dumplings soaked in a spiced syrup – wasn’t such a revelation. This course only received a 6 out of 10 from the food reviewer, although he did say it was ‘good’. Some commenters made jokes about Luke’s pronunciation of bhaji as well as the fact he didn’t pour the curry over the rice, as is standard, and some other misunderstandings about ingredients.
