The offender has been sentenced
Detectives at Nottinghamshire Police analysed CCTV footage at multiple venues to bring an offender to justice following a violent assault. The victim suffered a broken jaw after being punched in the face repeatedly during the attack in the early hours of Sunday, July 4, outside a takeaway in High Street, Warsop.
The police were able to put a case together and uncover what happened by using CCTV footage from several venues across the town centre, in addition to vehicle records and comparing CCTV stills with social media images of suspects.Daniel Ball, aged 35, of Morven Terrace, Warsop, was captured on camera launching the assault. Ball appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, October 10, where he was given a 16-month jail sentence suspended for 24 months.
The victim did not respond or fight back at any point. Detective Constable Nathan Bingham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack which left a man with a broken jaw.
