A man was seriously injured after he was attacked inside the AO Arena in Manchester city centre shortly after the end of the boxing between Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Smith, police have revealed.
The force said his injuries were not 'currently believed to be life-threatening'. An investigation has now been launched and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.GMP confirmed officers received reports a man had been attacked inside the Hunt's Bank venue. "The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he currently remains. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
"Additionally, anyone with any mobile phone footage they consider relevant is asked to share this with officers.
