The man's body was discovered at Victoria Hospital in Fife on Friday morning.
Police were alerted to the incident at Victoria Hospital, Hayfield Road, in Kirkcaldy at around 10:25am, September 29 and discovered the man's body on arrival.
Officers say they death is currently being treated as 'unexplained,' and that a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course. An image from the scene shows three stationary police vehicles blocking off the entrance to a car park at the hospital, with a large police cordon placed around a wooded area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.25am on Friday, 29 September, 2023, we were called to a report of the body of a man being found in the grounds of Victoria Hospital, Hayfield Road, Kirkcaldy.
