Fire crews remain at the scene this morning after a blaze broke out within a tenement flat at 3am.
Firefighters remain at the scene of the inferno after being scrambled to the incident on Garthland Drive, Dennistoun, at 3am today. A number of residents were evacuated as a result of the inferno, which is thought to have broken out in a ground-floor property.
At it's height, nine fire engines were used to tackle the flames. Firefighters remain at the scene this morning as they work to extinguish the smouldering remains. Officers investigating the incident say inquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the blaze. "A 50-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where hospital staff describe his condition as stable. Officers are working with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire."
