Police have provided information after the road was cordoned off
The victim is not in a life-threatening condition, they added, but failed to confirm what injuries he sustained. It is also unclear if the victim and attackers knew each other.
Police were reportedly knocking on the doors of nearby houses at around 8am to make enquiries, with locals photographing officers at the scene. Forensics officers also appear to have been present with some reportedly photographing items on the floor.The force confirmed enquiries are continuing and urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything to contact 101 quoting ISR 20 of 6 December.
