The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene
Merseyside Police were called to Queens Drive, near the Childwall Fiveways pub, at 6.10pm on Thursday, October 26 following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a man in his 20s was hit by a blue Mercedes at a pedestrian crossing.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital after suffering a serious leg and hip injury. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.READ MORE: Seven pictures show one of Liverpool's worst pavement parking hotspotsA spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We believe the incident would have been witnessed by other people as it occurred on a busy road and there would have been plenty of motorists and pedestrians in the area at the time.
