Both the woman and her dog required medical attention. The woman required surgery on her finger

A man has been given community service after his two dogs attacked and injured a woman in East Belfast.

By law all dogs must have a valid licence and wear identification with the name and address of their keeper. All dogs must also be fitted with a microchip. If a person does not license your dog, they may receive a £80 fixed penalty notice. If a dog is straying, the owner may again receive a £80 fixed penalty notice. This covers the Belfast City Council area, including all parks and open spaces.
